Greetings!

Mike continues to do everything right! All his vitals reflect levels of an uninjured person. Blood pressure, pulse, body temp., etc. are all looking good. He has been very active the last couple of days with leg movement and squeezing Kim's hand. Today he even did it on request!

He has been off the ventilator continuously since yesterday morning and oxygenating at 100%. This is hard work but he is really delivering. It's a pretty big deal as they did not expect to wean him completely of the ventilator for at least another 1-2weeks.

His feeding levels continue to be good which means he is metabolizing at an appropriate rate and his motility is good (nutrition coming in is being being moved through his system at a good level/rate).

The only setback is that today they found some spasm activity in the brain vessels through an MRI which was done this morning. They have put him on a magnesium drip which causes the vessels to be more elastic so to speak. Tomorrow we should know more once the neuro speaks with Kim. The concern is what this may mean for surgery next Friday.

On another note, we have had the pleasure of family visits from Mike's sister, niece and father.

Talk to you soon!
